Excited at the prospect of making their city more lush and green, Grade IV and V eco-warriors of DLF Public School during Vanmahotsav celebrations, planted more than 100 tree saplings in two different plantation drives-one within the school premises and the other at Priyadarshini Park in collaboration with Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam. The eco-warriors were joined in by students who have come to India from USA to learn Hindi as a foreign language underNSLI-Y, Youth Scholarship Programme at DLF Public School. Ms. Keri Dooley, Chief Government Relations and Sponsored Programme Officer-AFS USA, Ms. Heena Shahzad, Alumni & Projects Coordinator and Ms. Nishita Patel, Program Coordinator, AFS India, Mr. Shiv Kumar Gautam, Zonal Officer, Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam, the City Mayor Ms. Asha Rani and Ms. Raj Rani Sharma, an eminent environmentalist were among the few dignitaries who were present during the drive. ‘The survival not just of the people but of the planet has taken a holistic view for the first time in Human History.
