Cambridge School, Noida under the aegis of SPICMACAY, hosted a violin recital by the renowned violinist Mr.Johar Ali Khan in the Roma Deb Auditorium. Mr. Johar Ali was accompanied by Mr.Umair Khan on the tabla, Ms. Jaya Chaudhary on the tanpura and Mr. ShekharKhanijo on the harmonium. The programme commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp by Mr.Johar Ali and his accompanying artistes, Dr.Kalyani Roy and members of the management committee. The event was attended by the staff and students of Cambridge School, Noida and sister schools. Mr.Johar Ali began his performance by playing a South Indian raga-Kirwani followed by a composition called ‘RupakTaal’ which showcased the rich and incredibly diverse Indian music.The spectacular and hypnotizing ‘Jugalbandhi’ between Mr. Johar Ali on the violin and Mr. Umair Khan on the tabla held everyone spellbound. Mr. Johar Ali also interacted with the students regarding Indian classical music and appreciated them for their keen interest in music. The event was graced by Dr. Kalyani Roy, Secretary, SAE, Principal, Mr. Soumen Chakraborty and distinguished members of the management committee.
