DLF Public School Mentors Students from Government Schools on  ATL Community Day

Living up to the  expectations of an equitable society with equal opportunities to all, (ATL) Atal Tinkering Lab Community Day was celebrated in DLF Public School, Ghaziabad with full zest and zeal in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. Over hundreds of students along with teachers from Shri Lal Chand Sharma Higher Secondary School, Gyandeep School and Government Higher Secondary School for Girls,  Ghaziabad along with students of school’s adopted less privileged children of Apney foundation and local community participated in this first time hands-on exposure to a plethora of exciting scientific experiments at the school ATL Lab using the cutting edge tools and technology. The event was moderated by the ATL Mentor of Change Mr. Ashish Singhal and HOD Science Ms. Gargi Datta Biswas. During the session students were exposed to various do-it yourself hands-on activities that included designing of a Shikanjee Circuit and a Remote Control Car to name a few. The module opened new vistas for the students to be able to think out of the box solution to the real life challenges using science, technology and designing as a tool. The collaborative session introduced the spirit of Tinkering and Innovation among the learners and provided them a peer-to-peer learning platform that demystified all queries related to tinkering. Empathetic innovators of DLF Public School also demonstrated their self-created  prototypes that have already been acknowledged at numerous National and State platforms. ‘We had this practical collaborative learning experience for the first time and are really excited to see how science can change life.
