Dancer Ragini children the nuances of told Bharatnatyam dance

A never before Lecture Demonstration of Bharatnatyam by the renowned danseuse Ms. Ragini Chandershekhar was witnessed by the Kdbians. This program was conducted under the aegis of SPIC MACAY, VIRASAT -2018. The auditorium of K.D.B Public School Ghaziabad came alive with the captivating amalgamation of Ragini Chandershekhar’s Bharatnatyam dance and  the rhythmic music by S.Shankar on Nathuvanyam, flute by Rajat Prasanna and the vocal rendition  by K. Venkateshwarn and M.V. Chandershekhar.The program which was attended by coordinator SPIC MACAY, Ghaziabad chapter, eminent guests and students of the school  began with the traditional lamp lighting and a warm welcome of the chief guest Ragini ji and the accompanists by the Director, Principal and the Vice Principal of the school. Ragini Chandershekhar in her mesmerizing lecture demonstration on bharatnatyam made the students aware about the history of bharatnatyam as being one of the oldest classical dancers which illustrates  anecdotes of Hindu religious themes and spiritual ideas emoted by dance with excellent footwork and impressive mudras. Continuing  the amazing demonstration of Bharatnatyam Ragini explained the basic rhythm  and mudras and struck a chord with the students when they were asked to emulate the different mudras along with her and learnt what they represented. This Lecture Demonstration received tremendous applause from the audience and the awestruck students had a lot of queries which Ragini answered with full satisfaction of one and all by sharing interesting facts and valuable points. The Principal Nivedita  Rana,  in her vote of thanks extended her gratitude to SPIC MACAY, for playing an important role to attach people with Indian culture and thanked Ragini Chandershekhar for the wonderful program which proved to be a learning experience for the students as they gained an insight on the wonders and marvels of this dance from i.e. Bharatnatyam. It being a universal fact that everything and anything which gets started has to come to its natural conclusion and so did this breath taking program, compared by Riya Pandey and Tripti Manral, with the National Anthem.
