Nara Lokesh, Minister for IT, Panchayatraj and Rural Development, Government of Andhra Pradesh inaugurates the conference
SRM University-AP, Amaravati, organized a two day international conference on ‘Transformations in Engineering Education’. Mr. Nara Lokesh, Minister for IT, Panchayatraj, Rural Development at Government of Andhra Pradesh inaugurated the conference in the presence of leading academicians in Engineering education across the world Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nara Lokesh, advised the students ‘to develop innovative thinking to grab the future opportunities in the 21st century and also to become a employment provider instead of merely a job seeker’. He added that in the future, around 35% of world’s work force would come from India and India plays a great role in future by providing technical experts to the world. Mr. Kollu Ravindra, Minister for Youth Services and Skill Development, Government of Andhra Pradesh, also spoke on the occasion and announced that to provide better opportunities in IT Sector, the AP Skill Development Corporation is organizing training for the youth on Gaming with the support of SRM University. Dr TR Parivendhar, Founder Chancellor of SRM University, IUCEE Executive Director Krishna Veduala, APSSDC Executive Director Ghanta Subba Rao, SRM University President Dr P. Sathyanarayanan, Prof. D Narayana Rao, Pro- Vice Chancellor, SRM University – AP, Amaravati, were amongst the 450 leading academicians who took part in the conference.
