Gandhi Jayanti Celebrated in Salwan Public School, Gurugram

To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, the man with feeble-body and herculean will, Salwan Public School, Gurugram conducted a ‘Prayer Ceremony’ on 2nd October 2019.  The day commenced with thoughts pertaining to the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi followed by some of his favourite bhajans like ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’. The prayers were sung not only by the teaching staff but also parents and students. The Principal, Ms. Rashmi Malik addressed the gathering flashing upon the principle of ‘simple living and high thinking’. She also talked about her recent visit to Vardha, a school based on ‘Nai Taleem’, Gandhiji’s teachings and encouraged everyone to incorporate one quality of the iconoclastic selfless leader, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi that will make this world a little better place to live.
